Welcoming day

Dear parents

The purpose of this blog is for you parents to see what your child really does here at Ardingly. We have two groups with us, one from Milano (Monza e il regno Brianzuola) and Bologna, therefore this blog will include both of us. We will update it often so you can check in and see the ongoing adventure. We will take lots of pictures so if you don’t see your child just be patient. We hope you enjoy the blog. (se volete posso fare riassunti in Italiano se è necessario)

Day one

I will not bore you with the arrival details. I was totally embarrassed during the landing of the plane since ALL YOU ITALIANS clap your hands (come per dire   - bravo pilota ci hai portato qui vivi…umm non e su lavoro? E comè se applaudisco se vedo il portinaio che mi porta la posta?!?!)

We arrived around 3pm  local time and the first thing we did was have lunch. We soon after got settled into our rooms (with a little surprise but we will survive J ) Anyways the students were given a tour of the school and the campus.
The place is beautiful as you can see from the pictures below. I feel like Harry Potter walking around the school. Very traditional in all aspects of an English prep school.

It has many facilities which will keep us entertained. Our building has three floors. The top floor is for the boys the ground floor for the girls and the bottom floor for games, T.V. and just relax.

We finished the evening with some activities and football of course. There are over 100 students in our language school. There is another language school with the same amount that we see sometimes. In that group there are a lot of (non-Italians) Brazilian, Russian and Swiss. Unfortunately in our building there are only Italians with a small group of Spanish students.

Here are random pics of our first day and the school. I know some of your children told you we were living in Syria or Baghdad because our housing was not "good enough". So let the pics help you decide.

See you tomorrow
